Privacy Policy

Ludara · Last updated 13 September 2026

Ludara does not collect your personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Everything you create in the app — your collection, your name and your picture — is stored on your own device and is never sent anywhere.

This policy explains that in full, including the few things that do leave your device in order for the app to work at all.

What stays on your device

All of it. Ludara has no server storing anything about you, and no account to attach it to. The following live in a database inside the app's own storage:

None of this is transmitted, backed up to us, or readable by anyone but you. It is included in your device's own backup (iCloud or Google), which is operated by Apple or Google under their terms, not ours. Deleting the app deletes all of it permanently, and we hold no copy that could restore it.

Photo library access

If you choose a profile picture, the app asks your device for permission to open your photo library. It reads only the single image you pick, copies it into its own storage, and never uploads it. The app cannot see any other photo, and declining the permission only means you keep the default avatar.

What leaves your device

Ludara needs a network connection to show games. These are the only requests it makes:

Goes toWhat is sentWhy
Ludara's own proxy, hosted on Cloudflare The text you type into search, and the identifier of a game you open To fetch game information from the IGDB catalogue
Apple (iOS) or Google (Android), and Firebase A device attestation, and the short-lived token issued for it To prove requests come from a genuine installation of the app rather than an automated script
IGDB's image service, images.igdb.com A request for a specific cover or screenshot image To display game artwork. These images are loaded by your device directly, not through our proxy

None of these requests carries your name, your picture, your collection or any identifier we have created for you. Search terms are not stored against you, because there is no "you" in the system to store them against.

Server logs

Like any service reachable over the internet, the proxy and the attestation services receive your IP address as an unavoidable part of the connection, and may record it briefly for security and abuse prevention. We do not use it to build a profile, do not link it to anything else, and do not share it.

Who else is involved

These providers act as processors for the narrow technical purposes above. None of them receives personal data from Ludara, because Ludara does not send any.

Children

Ludara is a games catalogue and is not directed at children. It collects nothing from anyone, of any age. Note that the catalogue describes games of all age ratings, and shows the PEGI or ESRB rating where the provider supplies one.

Your rights

Data protection law gives you rights to access, correct, export and erase personal data held about you. Ludara holds none, so there is nothing for us to retrieve or delete. The data in the app is entirely under your control: you can change or remove your name and picture in the Profile tab, remove games from your collection at any time, and delete everything by uninstalling the app.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and a new version is published here before the app version it describes is released.
